Cyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Castell-Nedd Port Talbot (A4230 New Road, Skewen) (Temporary One Way Traffic) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding in a westerly direction along the length of road set out in the Schedule below whilst the Order is in force. During such periods as are indicated by traffic signs informing the public that the restriction is in place.

The Order is necessary to enable Wales and West Utilities to undertake Civil engineering works in the road and for the Highway Section to carry out any subsequent resurfacing works.

This Order will come into force on the 3rd February 2025 and shall continue in force for 18 months, or until the works are completed whichever is the sooner. 

It is envisaged the works will take 3 weeks to complete. 

SCHEDULE
A4230 New Road Skewen from its junction with Brook Street in a westerly direction for a distance of approximately 413 metres along its length to its junction with Picton Road.

The alternative route for vehicular traffic travelling in a westerly direction will be via Old Road, Burrows Road, Pen yr Alley Avenue, Wern Road and Winifred Road, Skewen.

Access for emergency services and pedestrian access will be maintained.
