NOTICE OF PROPOSAL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(ASHMOOR STREET, CASTLE STREET AND SIZER STREET, PRESTON, PRESTON CITY) (REVOCATION, PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND GOODS VEHICLE LOADING) ORDER 202*
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council propose to make the above Traffic Regulation Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to:
1. Revoke the following:
a) The "Lancashire County Council (Preston Area) (On Street Parking Places, Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) Consolidation Order 2009" insofar as it relates to:
i. Items (18)a) and (78) of Schedule 10.01;
ii. Items (8)a)(i), (44) and (187)a)(ii) of Schedule 11.075.
b) The "Lancashire County Council (Cold Bath Street, Kirkham Street, Moor Lane, Sizer Street, Victoria Street, Preston, Preston City) (Revocation, Prohibition of Waiting, Limited Waiting and Disabled Parking) Order 2017" insofar as it relates to Item b) of Schedule 4.
2. Introduce a prohibition of waiting at any time in the following lengths of road:
a) Ashmoor Street, Preston, the north side, from a point 70 metres east of its junction with the Centreline of Sizer Street to its junction with Moor Lane;
b) Ashmoor Street, Preston, the south side, from its junction with the Centreline of Moor Lane for a distance of 30 metres in a westerly direction;
c) Castle Street, the north side, from its junction with the Centreline of Moor Lane for a distance of 49 metres in a westerly direction;
d) Castle Street, Preston, the south side, from its junction with the Centreline of Moor Lane for a distance of 32 metres in a westerly direction;
e) Castle Street, Preston, the south side, from a point 46.5 metres west of its junction with the Centreline of Moor Lane for a distance of 55 metres in a westerly direction.
3. Introduce a restriction of waiting Monday to Saturday between 8am and 6pm in the following lengths of road:
a) Ashmoor Street, Preston, the north side, from its junction with the Centreline of Sizer Street for a distance of 29 metres in an easterly direction;
b) Castle Street, Preston, the south side, from a point 101.5 metres west of its junction with the Centreline of Moor Lane to its junction with the Centreline of Sizer Street;
c) Sizer Street, Preston, the east side, from its junction with the Centreline of Ashmoor Street for a distance of 38 metres in a northerly direction.
4. Introduce a goods vehicle loading bay in the following lengths of road:
a) Ashmoor Street, Preston, the north side, from a point 29 metres east of its junction with the Centreline of Sizer Street for a distance of 41 metres in an easterly direction;
b) Castle Street, Preston, the south side, from a point 32 metres west of its junction with the Centreline of Moor Lane for a distance of 14.5 metres in a westerly direction.
A copy of the draft Order and associated documents for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Preston City Council, PO Box 10, Town Hall, Lancaster Road, Preston, PR1 2RL and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, Fishergate, Preston PR1 8XJ, and on Lancashire County Councils Website http://www.lancashire.gov.uk/roads-parking-and-travel/roads/roadworks-and-traffic-regulation-orders/permanent.aspx.
