U9517 BAMBURGH CLOSE FOOTWAY
NORHAM CLOSE FOOTWAY BLYTH
(TEMPORARY FOOTWAY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intend to make an Order to prohibit the use by pedestrian traffic on the following sections of footway in Blyth in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 17th February 2025 until the 30th May 2025.
U9517 Norham Close Footway from its point outside of 22 Norham Close Footway heading southwards for a distance of 90 metres.
It is expected that the footway will only be closed from the 17th February 2025 until the 28th March 2025 and that the footway will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 30th May 2025.
The alternative route for pedestrian traffic will be via the U9517 Norham Close Footway, Norham Close.
U9517 Bamburgh Close Footway from its junction with Albion Way heading south for a distance of 20 metres.
It is expected that the footway will only be closed from the 17th March 2025 until the 11th April 2025 and that the footway will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 30th May 2025.
The alternative route for pedestrian traffic will be via the U9517 Bamburgh Close Footway, Albion Way, Bamburgh Close Blyth.

The closure has been requested by Northern Gas Networks to complete gas mains replacement in the footways. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
