U9539 CHESTER GROVE FOOTWAY SEGHILL
(TEMPORARY FOOTWAY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by pedestrian traffic on the following sections of footways in Seghill in the County of Northumberland.
U9539 Chester Grove Footway from its point at the gable end of house number 37 Chester Grove heading to house number 15 Chester Grove for a distance of 116 metres.
U9539 Chester Grove Footway from its point at the gable end of house number 10 Chester Grove heading southwards for a distance of 35 metres.
It is expected that the footways will only be closed from the 30th January 2025 until the 26th February 2025 and that they will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 28th March 2025.
There is no alternative route for pedestrian traffic.
The Order is to be effective from the 30th January 2025 until the 28th March 2025.

The closure has been requested by Northern Gas Networks to carryout gas mains replacement in the footways. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
