(Chichester: Kingsham Avenue) 

(Temporary Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, WSCC proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a prohibition of waiting at any time on both sides of Kingsham Avenue between No. 40 and No. 51. Parking and waiting is prohibited in this location to allow carriageway repairs to be undertaken.

The Order will come into operation on 10 February 2025. It is anticipated the restriction will remain in place until 21 February 2025.

(Wisborough Green: Durbans Road) 

(30mph Speed Limit) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC proposes to introduce a permanent Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to reduce the speed limit on the section of Durbans Road currently subject to a 40mph speed limit to 30mph.

Full details of the proposals in this Notice can be viewed on our website www.westsussex.gov.uk/tro. The website includes a response form for comments or objections.

Paper copies of documents will not be available to view in council offices or libraries. People without access to a computer who wish to view details of the scheme should telephone the WSCC Contact Centre on 01243 642105 to receive the documents by post. Any objections or comments about the proposal must be received by 13 February 2025. These may be sent via the response form on the website, in writing to: TRO Team, WSCC, The Grange, Tower Street, Chichester, PO19 1RH; or by e-mail to: tro.consultation@westsussex.gov.uk. All correspondence should be addressed to the undersigned, quoting the reference TRO/CHI2404/RC. Only correspondence including a full name and address will be considered.

(Selsey: Bonnar Road & Coxes Road) 

(Temporary Closure) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close Bonnar Road north and south of its junction with Coxes Road and Coxes Road east and west of its junction with Bonnar Road. The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst gas mains replacement works are undertaken.

The Order came into effect on 10 February 2025 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is anticipated works will commence on 10 February 2025 and will take 1 month to complete.

(Petworth: Public Footpath No. 3523)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any person from proceeding along a length of Public Footpath No. 3523 from its northern end at its junction with Public Footpath No. 662 (grid reference 498394.083, 121177.463), southwards to its junction with Public Footpath No. 2894 (grid reference

498394.337, 120658.098), a distance of approximately 600m. The Order is necessary to protect public safety due to a large tree damaging a bridge.

Unfortunately there is no alternative route available using the Public Rights of Way network.

The Order will come into effect on 28 January 2025 and will last for 6 months.

(Elsted & Treyford: Public Footpath No. 3355)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any person from proceeding along the length of Public Footpath No. 3355 from its western end at its junction with the A286 Henley Old Road to Sand Hollow (SU893256), south-eastwards for 55m then north-eastwards for 17m (SU894255).

Unfortunately there are no available alternative routes using the Public Rights of Way network.

The Order is necessary to protect public safety due to an unsafe bridge.

The Order will come into operation on the 23 January 2025 and will last for 6 months.

(Felpham: Public Footpath 3796_1) 

(Temporary Closure) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Public Footpath 3796_1 in Felpham, from its junction with Brigham Place to its junction with Sea Drive. The closure of this route is needed to allow gas mains to be replaced in safety.

The Order will come into effect on 27 January 2025 and remain in force until 28 February 2025. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 6 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for pedestrians will be indicated on site.
