THE A5 TRUNK ROAD (NEAR CHARLTON, SHROPSHIRE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC IN LAYBY) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company no. 9346363) has revoked an existing Order and make an order on the A5 Trunk Road, near Charlton, in the County of Shropshire, to enable weather station installation work to be carried out.
The effect of the Order will be close the layby adjacent to the eastbound carriageway of the A5 approximately 540 metres southeast of the centreline of the B4394 overbridge, near Charlton.
The work is expected to start at 21:00 on Saturday 1 February 2025 and continue for two weeks. The layby will be closed for 24 hours a day for the duration of the work. The Order will come into force on 27 January 2025.
Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes, and vehicles being used in connection with the works or for winter maintenance purposes will be exempt from the closure.
