THE MIDLOTHIAN COUNCIL (POMATHORN ROAD, PENICUIK) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 TTRO/R 5.4.261
Notice is hereby given that Midlothian Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffi c Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is that for a temporary period to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works on A701 Bridge Street/Peebles Road. Save as provided in Article 3 of this Order Pomathorn Road, Penicuik will be closed to through traffi c from its junction with the A701 Bridge Street for a distance of approximately 75 metres.
The Order which has a maximum duration of 18 months has effect from 3 February 2025. The work is expected take about 2 weeks to complete. Pedestrian access will be maintained. Alternative routes for general vehicular traffi c will be clearly sign posted.

ROADS (SCOTLAND) ACT 1984 THE MIDLOTHIAN COUNCIL (STRAITON PARK) STOPPING UP ORDER 2025 - TO/R5.3.111
Notice is hereby given that on 20 January 2025 Midlothian Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 68(1)(b) of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984, made the above Order. The effect of the Order is as stated in the Advertiser dated 12 December 2024. The Order comes into operation on
3 February 2025.
Details of the Order may be examined until 3 March 2025 at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk , at Libraries, or from david.chambers@midlothian.gov.uk. 
Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that they are not within the powers of the relevant enabling Act, or that a requirement of such Act or of any regulations made thereunder has not been complied with, may within six weeks from 20 January 2025 make application for this purpose to the Court of Session.

The Council proposes to create a new ‘Disabled’ parking bay on High Street, Penicuik.
