(ETTRICK ROAD, SELKIRK)

(TEMPORARY NO WAITING) ORDER 2025

The Scottish Borders Council (Ettrick Road, Selkirk) (Temporary No Waiting) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 15 January 2025 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of one day between the hours of 08:00 and 19:00. The Order is required for abnormal load to be delivered to the Wastewater Treatment Works at Howden.

When the Order comes into effect, no person shall permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked on both sides of Ettrick Road, Selkirk from Yarrow Terrace to a point 30 metres south of the junction at Murison Hill. (C52 WELLRIG, LONGNEWTON)

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2025

The Scottish Borders Council (C52 Wellrig, Longnewton) (Temporary Closing) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 28 January 2025 and is expected to remain in effect until 17:00 on 11 February 2025. The Order is required for BT Openreach works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the C52 at Wellrig to Longnewton from the A68 to Wellrig. The alternative route for westbound traffic is via the A68, C66 and C52 to the point of closure, for eastbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

(WEAVERS LINN, TWEEDBANK)

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2025

The Scottish Borders Council (Weavers Linn, Tweedbank) (Temporary Closing) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 27 January 2025 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of one day between the hours of 09:00 and 21:00. The Order is required for Scottish Water works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Weavers Linn, Tweedbank from the Beeches to Number 4. The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via Weavers Linn and The Beeches to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing. (VARIOUS ROADS – GALASHIELS) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025

The Scottish Borders Council (Various Roads – Galashiels) (Temporary Traffic

Regulation) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 27 January 2025 and is expected to remain in effect until 3 February 2025 as detailed below. The Order is required for resurfacing works. When the Order comes into effect no person shall (i) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle; and (ii) permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked along the following roads in Galashiels for the duration of each closure:

(a)   Closure 1: Waverley Place, Galashiels on 27 January 2025 between the hours of 08:30 and 17:00.

T he alternative route for northbound traffic is via Larchbank Street and Dale Street to the point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing;

(b)  Closure 2: Tweed Road and Netherdale Brae, Galashiels on 28 January 2025 for a period of two days from 08:30 and 17:00 each day.

 Tweed Road alternative route for eastbound traffic is via Tweed Road,  A7, B6374, Winston Road, and Tweed Road to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

  Netherdale Brae alternative route for northbound traffic is via Tweed Road, Nether Road, Dale Street and Larchbank Street to the point of closure,  for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing;

(c)   Closure 3: Larchbank Street and Netherdale Brae on 30 January 2025 for a period of two days between the hours of 08:30 and 17:00 each day.

The alternative route for southbound traffic is via Dale Street, Nether Road and Tweed Road to the point of closure, for northbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing; and

(d)  Closure 4: Tweed Terrace, Galashiels at its junction with Lucy Sanderson Cottage Homes on 3 February 2025 between the hours of 08:30 and 17:00. There is no alternative route.
