What is happening?

Derbyshire County Council

Temporary Road Closure Ashbourne Road, Turnditch

WHEN: 03 February to 09 February 2025 (09:30 to 14:30)

WHERE: Ashbourne Road, Turnditch between its Jct. with Cross O The Hands and its Jct. with Hill Close.

REASON: To facilitate carriageway patching repairs.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: A517: Ashbourne Road, Belper Road, Main Road, Unnamed section of A517 from Main Road to Trough Lane, Unnamed section of A517 from Brunswood Lane to Trough Lane, Unnamed section of A517 from Brunswood Lane to Gorse Lane, Bradley Corner, Sturston Road, Clifton Road.

A52: Unnamed section of A52 from Derby Road to Clifton Road, Derby Road, Shirley Common, Painters Lane, Common Side, Windy Arbour. 

A38: J A52 Roundabout, Queensway, Abbey Hill, Alfreton Road, Hartshay Interchange.

A610: Ripley Road, Ladygrove, Ripley Road.

A6: Derby Road, Matlock Road, Bridge Foot, Bridge Hill, Ashbourne Road and vice versa.

Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.

Derbyshire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused while work takes place.

The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
