Temporary Road Traffic Regulation Order Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Section 14 (As Amended)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s): ORDER NO. MCC140213625: The City of Manchester (Fairfield Street, Piccadilly Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Fairfield Street from St' Andrews Street to Coronation Square.
The alternative routes for traffic will be: Fairfield Street, Mancunian Way, Pin Mill Brow, Great Ancoats Street, Adair Street, Travis Street & Fairfield Street, Travis Street, London Road, Downing Street, Ardwick Green North, Ardwick Green South, Higher Ardwick, Chancellor Lane.
The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate utility works. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 3rd February 2025 to 28th February 2025.
The order shall come into operation on 3rd February 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months.
If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.

ORDER NO. MCC141716410: The City of Manchester (George Street, Deansgate Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under S14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on George Street from Nicholas Street to Princess Street.
The alternative routes for traffic will be: Nicholas Street, Booth Street, Cooper Street, Princess Street, John Dalton Street, Deansgate, Peter Street, Oxford Street, Portland Street.
The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate construction activities at Manchester Art Gallery.
It is expected that the works will be in progress from 3rd February 2025 to 27th May 2025.
The order shall come into operation on 3rd February 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months.
If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
