Temporary Closure Of Byway
The Nottinghamshire County Council (Clarbourough And Welham Boat 22) (Temporary Prohibition) Order 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:-
No person shall:-
(a) proceed on foot,
(b) cause any pedal cycle to proceed,
(c) cause any horseback or leading a horse to proceed,
(d) cause any horse drawn carts or carriages to proceed,
(e) cause any vehicle to proceed, in the following length of byway at Clarborough in the District of Bassetlaw: -
Clarborough and Welham BOAT 22 over Welham Road Level Crossing and for 20 metres either side of the crossing.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibition will apply as follows:-
On Monday , 10th February 2025 and Tuesday 11th February 2025 between 06.00hrs and 14.00hrs both days. AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction there is no alternative route for path users.
The prohibition shall apply to enable works to be carried out and in respect of the likelihood of danger to the public and damage to the BOAT . It may also apply on subsequent days when it shall be necessary. If the works are not completed within 6 months, the Order may be extended.
The prohibition is required to enable works to clear blocked drains and install new drainage system, and in respect of the likelihood of danger to the public and damage to the byway.
This Closure Will Only Take Effect When Signs Indicating Closure Are Displayed This Notice Is Dated This 23rd Day Of January 2025
