SANDWELL METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL

The Borough Council of Sandwell (Richmond Road, Smethwick) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2025 has made an order to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Richmond Road from its junction with A4030 Bearwood Road to its junction with the extended boundary between No’s 16 & 18

Richmond Road. Traffic will be diverted via Bearwood Road, Dunsford Road, Merrivale Road and vice-versa. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to commence and be completed by 24/01/2025 (9:30am -  3:30pm only). Purpose – to facilitate maintenance work to a mobile phone mast. The Borough Council of Sandwell (Horseley Heath, Tipton) (Temporary Cycle Lane Closure) Order 2025 has made an order to temporarily prohibit cyclists from proceeding along Horseley Heath in a south-westerly direction via the cycle lane from its junction with the extended boundary of No’s 224 & 225 Horseley Heath for a distance of 200 metres in a south-westerly direction. Cyclists will be advised to dismount and walk via the footway. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 31/01/2025 effective from 29/01/2025 (24hr). The Borough Council of Sandwell (Offini Close to St Cuthberts Close, West Bromwich) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2025 has made an order to temporarily prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along the footpath leading from Offini Close to St Cuthberts Close. A pedestrian diversion route will be signed via Europa Avenue, St Martins Close, St Valentines Close and vice-versa. The maximum duration is 6 months but the work is expected to be completed by 21/02/2025 effective from 27/01/2025. Purpose – to facilitate access for gas service works by Cadent Gas Limited.
