THE DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (B5053 BRIERLOW BAR FROM
ITS JUNCTION WITH THE A515 TO THE BOUNDARY WITH
STAFFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL) (40MPH AND DERESTRICTED SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that, on the 16th January 2025 the Derbyshire County Council made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The Order will come into operation on the 27th January 2025 and its effect is to introduce;
40 MPH SPEED LIMIT
A515, Brierlow Bar
From a point 326 metres North West of its junction with the B5053 to a point 340 metres East of its junction with the A5270.
A515 Clifton Road, Ashbourne
(This is an administrative change only and speed limit signs on site will remain in their current location).
From a point 95 metres South West of its junction with Highfield Road to a point 400 metres South West of its junction with the A52 Ashbourne Bypass.
Any permanent Traffic Regulation Orders made prior to this Order, insofar as they relate to the lengths of road listed above, will be revoked.
A copy of the Order and documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection at the County Council’s principal offices known as County Hall on Smedley Street in Matlock between 9am and 5pm on each day from Monday to Friday and on request by emailing Place.permanentTRO@derbyshire.gov.uk until 6 weeks after the Order is made until 27th February 2025.
Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order, or any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the ground that a requirement of that Act or any relevant regulation made under it has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the 16th January 2025 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
