C89 EDLINGHAM JUNCTION TO BOLTON JUNCTION EDLINGHAM
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C89 Edlingham Junction to Bolton Junction from its junction with the C90 heading in a southerly direction for a length of 3263 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 10th February 2025 until the 21st February 2025.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 10th February 2025 until the 14th February 2025 and that it will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 21st February 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being C90, B6341, U3056 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by United Living on behalf of Northumbrian Water to carry out trial holes in the verge to determine ground conditions for a new water main installation. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
