What is happening?

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the B1342 Outchester Cottages to Belford Station Belford from its junction with the U2004 heading eastwards for a distance of 855 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 17th February 2025 until the 28th February 2025.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 17th February 2025 until the 19th February 2025 and that the road will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 28th February 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via the B1342, A1, B1341, B1340 and vice-versa. Should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Go Fibre to install a new box and carry out mole ploughing for the installation of fibre cabling. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
