What is happening?
SOUTH TYNESIDE COUNCIL:
NOTICE OF TRAFFIC REGULATION CONSOLIDATION ORDERS 2025
Notice is given that on 22 January 2025 the Council of the Borough of South Tyneside made the traffic consolidation orders listed in Schedule 1 below. The effect of each traffic consolidation order is to revoke the provisions of the existing traffic consolidation orders listed in Schedule 2 and to re-enact those provisions without change of substance. The orders constitute consolidation orders for the purposes of The Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure)(England and Wales) Regulations 1996. The orders become operative from the 27 January 2025 and are available for public inspection at the Town Hall and Civic Offices, Westoe Road, South Shields, Tyne & Wear, NE33 2RL during normal office hours for the 6 weeks from the date of this Notice. Should you wish to inspect them please ask for the Principal Solicitor, Development.

b. South Tyneside Council (Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2025
c. South Tyneside Council (Movement Restrictions) (Consolidation) Order 2025
d. South Tyneside Council (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) (Consolidation) Order 2025
Schedule 2
a. The South Tyneside Council (Foreshore and Off Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2024
b. The South Tyneside Council (Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2024
c. South Tyneside Council (Movement Restrictions) (Consolidation) Order 2024
d. South Tyneside Council (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) (Consolidation) Order 2024
in each case as amended or varied by all subsequent traffic orders made by the Council.
