(TEMPORARY PUBLIC FOOTPATH CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council has made an Order to prohibit the use of Parish of Alnmouth Public Footpath No 10, in the County of Northumberland.
The route is described as follows:
From a point on the B1338 road on the south-east side of Alnmouth Bridge in a southerly direction for a distance of 240 metres to the west of the Water Treatment Works, then continuing in a general south-easterly and easterly direction for a distance of 300 metres to a point on the U3026 road opposite number 1 Garden Terrace, Alnmouth.
There is an alternative route available using existing public highways from a point on the B1338 road on the south-east side of Alnmouth Bridge in an easterly direction for a distance of 265 metres to the War Memorial roundabout then in a southerly direction along Northumberland Street for a distance of 280 metres then continuing in an easterly direction along Garden Terrace for a distance of 110 metres to a point on the U3026 road opposite number 1 Garden Terrace, Alnmouth.
The Order is to be effective from the 27th January 2025 until the 10th February 2025.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council in the interests of public safety to facilitate investigative works to prevent/reduce flooding.
