What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(ST THOMAS ROAD, BRIDLINGTON (PART))
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order
the effect of which is to prohibit any person from
causing any vehicle to proceed along part of St Thomas
Road, Bridlington between the junctions of Queensgate
and St Andrew Road.
The road will be closed between the hours of
08.00 and 17.00.
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed
resurfacing works, to be carried out and completed
in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of
the public. It is anticipated that the works will be
completed by 17 February 2025.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order
is via St Andrew Road, Queensgate and vice versa.
The road will be open at all times to pedestrians and
for vehicular access to properties directly affected by
the closure and for emergency services.
The Order will commence 29 January 2025 and
continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen
months or until the works which it is proposed to
carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
