(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of roads in Spittal in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 30th January 2025 until the 8th April 2025.
U115 Commercial Road for its entire length of 79 metres.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 30th January 2025 until the 5th February 2025 and that the road will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 8th April 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via the C425, Sandstell Road, North Greenwich Road and vice-versa. Should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.
U115 North Greenwich Road from its junction with St Helens Terrace heading northwards for a distance of 30 metres.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 3rd February 2025 until the 5th February 2025 and that the road will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 8th April 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via the North Greenwich Road, Sandstell Road, C425, Sea Road and vice-versa. Should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.
U115 South Greenwich Road from a point at the rear of 111 Main Street heading southwards for a distance of 100 metres.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 6th February 2025 until the 13th February 2025, the road will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 8th April 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via the South Greenwich Road, Sea Road, C425 and vice-versa. Should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The road closures have been requested by Avonline Networks to install micro-ducts and subsequent network fibre. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
