What is happening?

U11 LOANEND JUNCTION TO MOUNT PLEASANT JUNCTION NORHAM
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order
to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of highways in the County
of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 27th January 2025 until the 7th February 2025 .
 C3 Horncliffe House Junction to Longridge Towers Junction from its junction with
A698 heading northwards and then westwards for a distance of 705 metres.
 U11 Loanend Junction to Mount Pleasant Junction from its junction with C3
heading northwards for a distance of 755 metres.
It is expected that the roads will only be closed from the 27th January 2025 until the 31st
January 2025 between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 during this period; however, the
order will remain in place until 7th February 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via the
U11, C3, C6, A698 and vice-versa. Should the need arise changes may be made to the
alternative routes and where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Netel on behalf of Go Fibre to carry out mole
ploughing for the installation of fibre cabling. In order to minimise future disruption, other
contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
