What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE EXTENSION
THORNSETT, BIRCH VALE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Order made by Derbyshire County Council on 20 January 2025 under Section 14 of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which was to close Thornsett, Birch Vale has been extended.
The alternative route will be via Sycamore Road, Sitch Lane, Station Road, New Mills Road, Hayfield Road, High Hill Road, Watford Bridge Road, Bridge Street, Batemill Road and vice versa.
The road will be closed until 14 February 2025 or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner to facilitate telecom works.
Derbyshire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused during the duration of the temporary restriction. Any member of the public requiring further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190.
