What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
U6012 SECOND ROW, FIRST ROW LINTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of roads in Linton in the County of Northumberland.
U6012 Second Row Linton from its point outside of house number 14 Second Row heading east for a distance of 175 metres then north for a distance of 45 metres.
U6012 Second Row from its junction with First Row heading north for a distance of 42 metres.
U6012 First Row from its point outside of house number 14 First Row heading east for a distance of 92 metres then north for distance of 45 metres.
The Order is to be effective from the 29th January 2025 until the 12th February 2025.
It is expected that the roads will only be closed on the 29th January 2025 between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 12th February 2025.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the Third Row, Second Row and vice versa.

The closure has been requested by Northumbrian Water are undertaking internal chamber works in the carriageway. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
