What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
U17 CHESWICK JUNCTION TO GOSWICK, GOSWICK
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Norhumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U17 Cheswick Junction to Goswick for a distance of 100 metres, 20 metres either side of Goswick level crossing in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 11th February 2025 until the 13th February 2025.
The road will only be closed on the following dates:
11th February 2025 until the 12th February 2025 between the hours of 23:30 until 05:00 12th February 2025 until the 13th February 2025 between the hours of 23:30 until 05:00
There is no alternative route for vehicular traffic.

The closure has been requested by Chevron TM to renew the boom barriers at the level crossing.
