What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
HIGH STREET, CHESTERFIELD
WHEN: 27 January to 31 January 2025
WHERE: High Street, Chesterfield between its Jct. with Glumangate to its Jct. with Packers Row.
REASON: To facilitate bollard installation works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Clockwise - Burlington Street, Stephenson Place, B6543, Beetwell Street, New Beetwell Street, West Bars, Low Pavement, Market Place.
Anti-Clockwise - Market Place, Low Pavement, West Bars, New Beetwell Street, Beetwell Street, Hipper Street, A619, Lordsmill Interchange, B6543, Stephenson Place, Church Way, Burlington Street.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.
Derbyshire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused while work takes place. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190.
The County Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
