(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of highways in the County of Northumberland:
C125 Longhirst Junction To Potland Roundabout from its point at the level crossing in a south-westerly direction for a distance of 2940 metres to its junction with the C126.
C126 District Boundary to Longhirst Brocks Junction from its junction with the C125 heading south for a distance of 715 metres.
C126 Coneygarth to Wansbeck District Boundary from its junction with the C126 District Boundary to Longhirst Brocks Junction heading east then southeast for a distance of 1440 metres.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 27th January 2025 until the 31st January 2025 and the 10th February 2025 until the 14th February 2025 between the hours of 08:00 until 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until the 25th July 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being the C125, A1068 and A197 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.
The Order is to be effective from the 27th January 2025 until the 25th July 2025.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to carry out resurfacing work to improve the carriageway. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
