A1068 SOUTH ROAD ALNWICK
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the A1068 South Road Alnwick from its junction with Willowburn Trading Estate heading in a northerly direction for a length of 112 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 28th January 2025 until the 7th February 2025.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 28th January 2025 until the 31st January 2025 between the hours of 09:30 until 15:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 7th February 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being A1068, B6346, U3129 and vice-versa. Should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes and where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Alnwick Town Council to carry out tree works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
