Notice Of Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic – Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984 – Sound Lane, Sound
Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers proposes to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.
Prohibition of traffic – Sound Lane, Sound – For 20 metres either side of the railway bridge. The alternative route will be via Marsh Lane, Welsh Row, Waterlode, Park Road Roundabout, Pillory Street South, Wellington Road, Park Road, Shrewbridge Road, Baddington Lane, Whitchurch Road, Wrenbury Heath Road and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.
This order will come into operation on Friday 14 February 2025 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Monday 24 February 2025.

Notice Of Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic – Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – Church View, Holmes Chapel
Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.
Prohibition of traffic – Church View, Holmes Chapel – From the junction of London Road to front of house number 5 Church View.
The alternative route will be via London Road, Church View and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.
This order will come into operation on Monday 27 January 2025 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 14 February 2025.

Notice Of Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic – Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – Wistaston Road, Willaston
Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.
Prohibition of traffic – Wistaston Road, Willaston – For 20m either side of the level crossing.
The alternative route will be via Wistaston Road, Crewe Road, Nantwich Road Roundabout, Nantwich Bypass, Roundabout A500 Cheerbrook, Cheerbrook Road, Wybunbury Road and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.
This order will come into operation on Saturday 25th January 2025 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Sunday 16th February 2025.

Notice Of Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic – Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – Mill Lane, Doddington & District
Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.
Prohibition of traffic – Mill Lane, Doddington & District – From outside Blakenhall Farm to outside Ash Tree Farm.
The alternative route will be via Wrinehill Road, Bridge Street, Wybunbury Road, London Road and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.
This order will come into operation on Thursday 30th January 2025 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Wednesday 5th February 2025.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – Temporary Prohibition Of Pedestrians Public Footpath No. 17 Parish of Checkley cum Wrinehill
Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 (1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, that the Cheshire East Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on the following:
That length of Public Footpath No.17 Checkley cum Wrinehill, which commences at OS grid reference (OSGR) SJ 7435 4550 and runs in a generally north east then north direction for approx. 131 m. to the county boarder at OSGR SJ 7440 4561.
The closure is necessary to protect the public from danger posed by a damaged bridge.
The closure continues the restriction that came into force on 2 January 2025 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 6 months, or until the bridge is repaired or replaced.
An alternative route is available via the Highways Network.
