A4 Trunk Road - Temporary Prohibition of Traffic For Maintenance Works

The A4 Trunk Road (Bathampton Layby) (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (a) has made an Order on the A4 trunk road in Bath and North East Somerset to allow culvert works and associated maintenance works to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to take place over two Saturday nights (22.00 to 07.00) commencing on or after 25 January 2025.
The effect of the Order will be to authorise the closure of the layby adjacent to the A4 westbound located at Bathampton 25 metres west of Mill Lane Overbridge.
During the closures traffic will be diverted to other laybys.
The closure (which will not apply to emergency services or works vehicles), and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs throughout the works.
The Order will come into force on 23 January 2025 and have a maximum duration of 18 months.
