Temporary Restriction of Vehicular Traffic Order 2025

Thanet Road, Erith - Notice of Intention

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that, to enable essential works to maintain the water network by OnSite Central Limited on behalf of Thames Water, they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:

    • Prohibition of traffic (Road Closure) in Thanet Road from number 49 to the junction with South Road, Erith.

    • No waiting/no loading (Parking Restrictions) in Thanet Road from number 49 to the junction with South Road, Erith.

  2. The Order will come into effect on 3 February 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 5 days.

  3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be via:

    • Thanet Road, Larner Road, Dell View Road, South Road.

    • South Road, Queens Road, South Road, Dell View Road, Larner Road, Thanet Road.

  4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

  5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Notice of Making an Order

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that an order has been made, to enable gas mains replacement works by JDT Utilities on behalf of Southern Gas Networks, the effects of which will be the introduction of:

    • Prohibition of traffic (Road Closure) in Sherwood Road from 30 meters in up to and including the junction with Welling Way, Welling as and when works require.

    • Prohibition of traffic (Road Closure) in Falconwood Avenue from 30 meters in up to and including the junction with Welling Way, Welling as and when works require.

    • No waiting/no loading (Parking Restrictions) as detailed in Schedule One of this order.

  2. The Order will come into effect on 24 January 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 4 weeks.

  3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be provided via:

    • Sherwood Road Closure: Falconwood Avenue – Ashmore Grove and reverse.

    • Falconwood Avenue Closure: Sherwood Road – Ashmore Grove and reverse.

    • Bellgrove Road: Sherwood Road – Ashmore Grove and reverse.

  4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

  5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Temporary Restriction of Vehicular Traffic Order 2025

Baugh Road, Sidcup

Notice of Intention

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that, to enable highway improvement works by a Council contractor on behalf of London Borough of Bexley, they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:

    • Prohibition of traffic on Baugh Road, Sidcup from the junction with Rectory Lane to the junction with the Private Car Park (Baugh House), Baugh Road, Sidcup.

    • Waiting Restriction and Loading prohibition on Baugh Road, Sidcup from the junction with Rectory Lane to the junction with the Private Car Park (Baugh House), Baugh Road, Sidcup.

  2. The Order will come into effect on 31 January 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 3 nights.

  3. Whilst the works are in progress no alternative routes will be provided as Baugh Road is a dead end. Access to the alleyway will be maintained.

  4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

  5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Temporary Restriction of Vehicular Traffic Order 2025

Howbury Lane, Erith - Notice of Making an Order

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that an order has been made, to enable Keltbray Rail on behalf of National Rail to undertake repair and maintenance works on railway bridge ref 762-ELR-BEX-15-16. The effects of which will be the introduction of:

    • Prohibition of traffic on Howbury Lane from the junction with Thames Road to outside No. 8 Howbury Lane, Erith.

  2. The Order will come into effect on 26 January 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 23 hours.

  3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be provided via:

    • Southbound traffic: Howbury Lane, Whitehall Lane, Bridge Road, Northend Road, Thames Road.

    • Northbound traffic: Thames Road, exit at roundabout to Bridge Road, and exit southbound Northend Road, Bridge Road, Whitehall Lane, Howbury Lane.

  4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

The Bexley (Bexleyheath Station) (Parking Places) (Amendment No. 12) Traffic Order 2025

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Bexley have on 20 January 2025 made the above-titled Traffic Order under Sections 6 and 124 of Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and as amended by Section 8 of and Part 1 of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985.

  2. The general effect of the above-mentioned Amendment Order would be to amend the Bexley (Bexleyheath Station) (Parking Places) Traffic Order 2018 to:

    • Remove the Resident Permit Parking Bay in front of No. 13 Oldfield Road, Bexleyheath.

      • The parking bay proposed to be removed currently operates between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. This will be replaced with a single yellow line restriction of "10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Monday to Friday."

    • There is a loss of a single parking place.

  3. Copies of the Order which becomes operational on 27 January 2025, the corresponding Parent Order (and Orders that have amended that Order); the Council’s Statement of Reasons for making the Order and maps which indicate the length of road to which the Order relates can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at the Contact Centre, 2 Watling Street, Bexleyheath, Kent DA6 7AT.

    • No waiting/no loading (Parking Restrictions) in Parkside Avenue from the junction with Old Manor Way to the junction with Holmesdale Grove, Bexleyheath.

    • No waiting/no loading (Parking Restrictions) in Old Manor Way from the side of 110 Manor Way to the junction of Manor Way, Bexleyheath.

  2. The Order will come into effect on 23 January 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 2 days.

  3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be provided via:

    • Parkside Avenue – Perry Street – Mayplace Road East – Manor Way and reverse.

    • Access to remain open for Old Manor Way at all times.

  4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

  5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
