(THRUPP WHARF, COSGROVE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Thrupp Wharf, Cosgrove as set out below.

LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Thrupp Wharf, Cosgrove from Navigation pub to County boundary.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during carriageway patching.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 3rd February 2025 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months.  An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016. 

EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted for five days.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: use A508, Ashton Road, Stoke Road, Hartwell Road, Park Road, Hanslope Road, Hartwell Road, Long Street Road and Castlethorpe Road.

(BOWER WALK, NORTHAMPTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along that length of Bower Walk, Northampton as set out below.

LENGTH OF PATH TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Bower Walk, Northampton from the junction of Stone Circle Road to the bridge.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during footway and cycle route upgrades.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 3rd February 2025 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months.  An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016. 

EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the path will be restricted for 12 days.

LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Kingsley Road, Silverstone from Towcester Road to Whittlebury Road.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during carriageway works.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 3rd February 2025 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Watermeadow Drive, Northampton from Verwood Close westbound to outside 123 Watermeadow Drive.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during carriageway repairs.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 3rd February 2025 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months.An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Blisworth Road, Stoke Bruerne over the disused railway bridge.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during repairs to disused bridge.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 3rd February 2025 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months.An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 29th January 2025 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during carriageway works.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 30th January 2025 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months.  An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary.  However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
