THE LEICESTER (ASHLEIGH ROAD, STUART STREET (TEMPORARY) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicester City Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be, for the following anticipated period of time to:

Prohibit the movement of all vehicles on Ashleigh Road between its junction with Narborough Road and a point 20 metres west thereof from 7.00am on Sunday 2nd February 2025 until 11.59pm on Sunday 16th February 2025.

Diversion route (northbound): Narborough Road, Cambridge Street/Beaconsfield Road, Fosse Road South. Diversion route (southbound): Fosse Road South, Westleigh Road, Narborough Road.

Prohibit the movement of all vehicles on Stuart Street between its junction with Wilberforce Road and a point 20 metres west thereof from 7.00am on Sunday 16th February 2025 until 11.59pm on Sunday 2nd March 2025.

Diversion route (northbound): Narborough Road, Noel Street, Wilberforce Road.

Diversion route (southbound): Fosse Road South, Walton Street, Wilberforce Road.

Prohibit the movement of all vehicles on Stuart Street between its junction with Narborough Road and a point 20 metres east thereof from 7.00am on Sunday 2nd March 2025 until 11.59pm on Sunday 23rd March 2025.

Diversion route: as above.
The Order will come into effect on the 2nd February 2025 and will continue in force for up to 18 months, or until the order is no longer deemed necessary, whichever is the earlier.

These restrictions are to facilitate the installation of traffic calming measures taking place on or near the above sections of highway. Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
