NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council intends after 7 days, to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which: 

School Lane, Barton Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-089

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along School Lane, Barton as lies between the Village Hall & B1046. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 17/2/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 16/8/26 whichever is the earlier.


Kings Hedges Road, Cambridge Temporary Suspension of Cycle Lane – Order 2025-090 

Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on Kings Hedges Road, Cambridge as lies between St Kilda Avenue & Lovell Road. During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area B (Consolidation) Order 1993 as amended by the City of Cambridge Area B (Consolidation) Order 1993 (Amendment No. 32) Order 2003; Schedule 23 Cycle Lane: Part 2 mandatory with flow cycle lane, Kings Hedges Road on its northeast side from its junction with Cambridge Regional College entrance to a point 44 metres northwest of the centreline of Milton Road, Kings Hedges Road on its southwest side from a point 10 metres northwest of the centreline of its junction with St. Kilda Avenue northwestwards for 11 metres, Kings Hedges Road on its southwest side from a point 13 metres southeast of the centreline of its junction with St. Kilda Avenue southeastwards for 45 metres is hereby suspended. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate traffic signal refurbishment & associated works which are being carried out on or near the cycle lane & it will come into operation on 24/2/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 23/8/26 whichever is the earlier.


Horningsea Road, Fen Ditton Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-148

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Horningsea Road, Fen Ditton as lies between No. 7 & 9. The alternative route for vehicles is via A14; A1309; A1134; B1047 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water valve installation & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 18/2/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 17/8/26 whichever is the earlier.


Girton Road, Girton Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-149

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Girton Road, Girton as lies between A1307 & St Margarets Road. The alternative route for vehicles is via Girton Rd, Cambridge Rd, High Street, Oakington Rd, Cambridge Rd, Oakington; Dry Drayton Rd, A1307 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate ducting, resurfacing, road markings & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 10/2/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 9/8/26 whichever is the earlier.


Verulam Way & Ellesmere Road, Cambridge Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-150 

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Verulam Way & Ellesmere Road, Cambridge as lies between Mere Way & St Albans Road; Mere Way & Verulam Way respectively. The alternative route for vehicles is via St Albans Rd; Arbury Rd; Mere Way & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate drainage & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 17/2/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 16/8/26 whichever is the earlier.


Langham Road, Cambridge Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-152 

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Langham Road, Cambridge as lies between No. 2 & 14. The alternative route for vehicles is via A1134; Perne Ave; Gisborne Rd & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate relay lead supply & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 3/2/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 2/8/2026 whichever is the earlier.


St Philips Road, Cambridge Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic & Belgrave Road, Cambridge Temporary Revocation of One-Way Traffic Order – Order 2025-153

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along St Philips Road, Cambridge as lies between No. 75 & 85. During the period this Order remains in force 1993 Order – The City of Cambridge Area E (Consolidation) Order 1993, Schedule 16 – No Entry, Part 2 – Roads and parts of roads to which entry except for pedal cycles is prohibited at the location and from the directions stated is hereby suspended. The alternative route for vehicles is via Vinery Road, Mill Road, Ross Street, St Philips Road, Belgrave Road. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate relay water supply works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 5/2/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 4/8/26 whichever is the earlier.


Ashdon Road, Bartlow Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-158 

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Ashdon Road, Bartlow as lies between Dean Road & Barlow Road, Ashdon. The alternative route for vehicles is via Bartlow Road, Ashdon; Steventon End, Ashdon Road, Castle Camps; Bartlow Road, Camps Road, Camps Road, Batlow; Dean Road, Ashdon Road & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate drainage & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 3/2/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 2/8/2026 whichever is the earlier.


Main Street, Stow Cum Quy Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-160

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Main Street, Stow Cum Quy as lies between Vicarage Meadows & Albert Road. The alternative route for vehicles is via Albert Road, B1102, Main Street & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 3/2/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 2/8/25 whichever is the earlier.


Harlton Road, Little Eversden Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-161 

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Harlton Road, Little Eversden as lies between No. 55 & High Street. The alternative route for vehicles is via Harlton Road, Great Eversden; Church Street, High Street, Kingston Road, Tinkers Lane, Kingston; The Green, Church Lane, B1046, A603, Harlton Road, Little Eversden & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 3/2/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 2/8/26 whichever is the earlier.


Limekiln Road, Cambridge Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-162

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Limekiln Road, Cambridge as lies between The Reservoirs & Queen Ediths Way. The alternative route for vehicles is via Queen Ediths Way, A1307, Cherry Hinton Rd, Great Shelford; Limekiln Rd, Cambridge & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 28/2/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 27/8/26 whichever is the earlier.


Stonebridge Lane, Fulbourn Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-165

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Stonebridge Lane, Fulbourn as lies between No. 22 & Home End. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 10/2/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 9/8/26 whichever is the earlier.


Stourbridge Grove, Cambridge Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 25-167 

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Stourbridge Grove, Cambridge as lies between No. 30a & Coldhams Lane. The alternative route for vehicles is via Stourbridge Grove, Coldhams Lane & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 17/2/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 16/8/26 whichever is the earlier.


Park Parade & Lower Park Street, Cambridge Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-168 

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Park Parade & Lower Park Street, Cambridge as lies between New Park Street and Portugal Street. The alternative route for vehicles is via Lower Park Street, New Park Street, Portugal Street, Park Parade & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 17/2/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 16/8/26 whichever is the earlier.


Church Street, Harston Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-174

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Church Street, Harston as lies between No. 15 & 47. The alternative route for vehicles is via Church St, A10, Barrington Rd, Foxton; Foxton Rd (C262), Barrington; Challis Green, Haslingfield Rd, Chapel Hill, Chapel Hill, Haslington; Church St, High St, Harston Rd, Haslingfield Rd and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water main, connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 17/2/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 16/8/2026 whichever is the earlier.


Limekiln Road, Cambridge Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-176 

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Limekiln Road, Cambridge as lies between The Reservoirs & Queen Ediths Way. The alternative route for vehicles is via Queen Ediths Way, A1134, A1307, Cherry Hinton Rd, Great Shelford; Limekiln Rd, Cambridge & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 14/2/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 13/8/26 whichever is the earlier.


Horseheath Green, Horseheath Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-180

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Horseheath Green, Horseheath as lies between Firtrees & Cardinals Green. The alternative route for vehicles is via Cardinals Green, Mill Green, Mill Green, Shuddy Camps; Nosterfield End, Burton End, Haverhill; A1017, A1307, Horseheath Green, Horseheath & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 13/2/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 12/8/26 whichever is the earlier.


Histon Road (B1049), Cambridge Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-183 

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Histon Road (B1049), Cambridge as lies between Akeman Street & Rackman Close. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1049, Castle Street (C290), A1303, A1134, A1309, A14, B1049 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate manhole repair & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 23/02/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 22/08/26 whichever is the earlier.


Spring Lane, Bassingbourn Cum Kneesworth Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-184

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Spring Lane, Bassingbourn Cum Kneesworth as lies between High Street & Pepper Close. The alternative route for vehicles is via Spring Lane, Knutsford Rd, High St & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 10/2/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 9/8/26 whichever is the earlier.


Cambridge Road, Great Shelford Temporary Suspension of Cycle Lane – Order 2025-185 

Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on Cambridge Road, Great Shelford as lies between Cherry Trees & Westfield Road. During the period this Order remains in force the Cambridgeshire County Council (Cambridge Road and High Green, Great Shelford) (Mandatory With-Flow Cycle Lane) Order 1993, Lengths of road or sides of road in the District of South Cambridgeshire Parish of Great Shelford Mandatory With-Flow Cycle Lane; Cambridge Road, Great Shelford, North-east side from its junction with Shelford Road Cambridge, south-eastward to a point 83 metres south-east of its junction with Westfield Road, and from a point 268 metres south-east of its junction with Westfield Road, south-eastward to its junction with Davey Crescent, Great Shelford. North-west to South-east. South-west side, from its junction with Davey Crescent, Great Shelford north-westward to a point 268 metres south-east of its junction with Westfield Road and from a point 83 metres south-east of its junction with Westfield Road north-westward to its junction with Shelford Road, Cambridge. South-east to north-west is hereby suspended. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate sewer connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near the cycle lane & it will come into operation on 3/2/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 2/8/26 whichever is the earlier. This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the above section of road whilst works taking place on Cambridge Road, Great Shelford are in progress.


High Street, Little Shelford Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-186

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along High Street, Little Shelford as lies between No. 83 & M11 flyover. The alternative route for vehicles is via High St, Hauxton; Church Rd, A10, B1368, Whittlesford Rd, Newston; Newton Road, Whittlesford; Newton Rd (C254), Middlemoor Rd, Shelford Rd, Whittlesford Rd, Little Shelford; High St, Hauxton Rd & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 24/2/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 23/8/26 whichever is the earlier.


Elm Way, Papworth Everard Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-187 

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Elm Way, Papworth Everard as lies between Vinter Close & Athlone Close. The alternative route for vehicles is via Elm Way, Althlone Close, Varrier Jones Drive, Ermine St North & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 25/02/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 24/08/26 whichever is the earlier. 


Arbury Road, Cambridge Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-192

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Arbury Road, Cambridge as lies between St Albans Road & Kings Hedges Road. The alternative route for vehicles is via Kings Hedges Rd, Northfield Ave, Campkin Rd, Arbury Rd & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate development remedial repairs & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 1/2/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 31/7/26 whichever is the earlier.

of Through Traffic – Order 2025-196

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Cherry Hinton Road (C235), Cambridge as lies between the A1307 & Clifton Road. The alternative route for vehicles is via Cherry Hinton Rd (C235), A1134, A1307 & vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate lining & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 24/02/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 23/08/26 whichever is the earlier.


Ross Street, Cambridge Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic & Temporary Revocation of One-Way Traffic Order – Order 2025-197 

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Ross Street, Cambridge as lies between No. 2 & 38. During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area E (Consolidation) Order 1993 as amended by The City of Cambridge Area E (Consolidation) Order 1993 (Amendment No.62) Order 2018, schedule 6 One way streets: part 2: Roads and parts of roads in which pedal cycles are permitted to travel in the opposite direction of the one way street. Column 1: Street: Ross Street: Column 2: (Direction of travel except from pedal cycles) From south to north is hereby suspended. The alternative route for vehicles is via Ross St, Mill Rd, Catharine St, St Philips Rd. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate relay lead supply & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 12/2/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 11/8/26 whichever is the earlier.


High Street (C233), Cambridge Temporary Suspension of Cycle Lane – Order 2025-198

Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on High Street (C233), Cambridge as lies between Chelwood Road & Fishers Lane. During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area E (Consolidation) Order 1993, Schedule 23 Cycle Lane: Part 2 mandatory with flow cycle lane in which loading is permitted, High Steet, Cherry Hinton on its west side from a point 7 metres north of the centreline of Chelwood Road to a point 14 metres south of the centreline of Fishers Lane is hereby suspended. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications & associated works which are being carried out on or near the cycle lane & it will come into operation on 5/2/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 4/8/26 whichever is the earlier. This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the above section of road whilst works taking place on High Street (C233), Cambridge are in progress.


Perne Road (A1134), Cambridge Temporary Suspension of Cycle Lane – Order 2025-200

Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on Perne Road (A1134), Cambridge as lies between No. 143 & 173. During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area E (Consolidation) Order 1993, Schedule 23 Cycle Lane: Part 2 mandatory with flow cycle lane; Perne Road on both sides of the carriageway from its junction with Brookfields to its junction with Cherry Hinton Road is hereby suspended. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate relay lead supply & associated works which are being carried out on or near the cycle lane & it will come into operation on 24/2/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 23/8/26 whichever is the earlier. 

This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the above section of road whilst works taking place on Perne Road (A1134), Cambridge are in progress.


Over Road, Willingham Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-204

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Over Road, Willingham as lies between Rook Grove & the B1050. The alternative route for vehicles is via Willingham Road, Willingham Road, Over; Church End, Station Road, New Road, West Street, Longstanton Road, Gravel Bridge Road Road, Over Road (C191), Longstanton; ramper Road, B1050 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate foul water installation & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 3/2/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 2/8/26 whichever is the earlier.


Woodhead Drive, Cambridge Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-205

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Woodhead Drive, Cambridge as lies between the A1309 & Hopkins Close. The alternative route for vehicles is via Woodhead Drive, Downhams Lane, A1309 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway resurfacing & associate works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 3/2/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 2/8/26 whichever is the earlier.


Rawlyn Road, Cambridge Temporary Prohibition of Waiting – Order 25-207 

Is to stop any vehicle from parking/waiting along Rawlyn Road, Cambridge as lies between Rayson Way & Rawlyn Close. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate installation of double yellow lines works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 1/2/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 18/9/26 whichever is the earlier.


George Street, Cambridge Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 25-209

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along George Street, Cambridge as lies between No. 44 & the A1134. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate paving, kerbing repairs & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 3/2/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 2/8/26 whichever is the earlier.


St Pauls Road, Cambridge Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-210 

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along St Pauls Road, Cambridge as lies between Gresham Road & the A1307. The alternative route for vehicles is via A1307, Harvey Rd, Gresham Rd & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate crane operations & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 12/2/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 11/8/26 whichever is the earlier.


Bateman Street, Cambridge Temporary Suspension of Cycle Lane – Order 2025-211

Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on Bateman Street, Cambridge as lies between No. 61 & the A1307. During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area A (Consolidation) Order 1993 as amended by The City of Cambridge Area A (Consolidation) Order 1993 (Amendment No. 108) Order 2001, Schedule 23 – Cycle Lanes. Part 1 contra-flow cycle lane, Bateman Street on its north side from a point 15 metres east of the centreline of Panton Street to a point 62 metres west of the centreline of Hills Road in an easterly direction is hereby suspended. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications & associated works which are being carried out on or near the cycle lane & it will come into operation on 20/2/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 19/8/26 whichever is the earlier. This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the above section of road whilst works taking place on Bateman Street, Cambridge are in progress.
