What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN BENNETTS END ROAD, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Bennetts End Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with the A414 St Albans Road/White Hart Road roundabout south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with St Albans Hill, a distance of approximately 157m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via A414 St Albans Road, Lawn Lane and St Albans Hill.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 10 February 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

 (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CHOLESBURY ROAD, TRING) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Cholesbury Road, Tring from its junction with Kiln Road north eastwards to its junction with Tring Town Public Bridleway No.003, a distance of approximately 730m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via Cholesbury Road, Cholesbury Lane, Hawridge Common, Hawridge, Wigginton Road, Chesham Road and Cholesbury Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 12 February 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

 (TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN ELLESMERE ROAD, BERKHAMSTED) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Ellesmere Road, Berkhamsted from its junction with Paxton Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 22m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Paxton Road, George Street, Gravel Path and Ellesmere Road.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 23 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

 (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CORNER HALL, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Corner Hall, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Lawn Lane south westwards for a distance of approximately 38m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Lawn Lane, A414 Two Waters Road and Corner Hall.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 23 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

 (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE MEADS, NORTHCHURCH) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of The Meads, Northchurch from a point in line with the northern boundary of No.9 The Meads south eastwards for a distance of approximately 47m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via The Meads, A4251 High Street and The Meads.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 27 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

 (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF B488 (BULBOURNE ROAD/UPPER ICKNIELD WAY), BULBOURNE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B488 (Bulbourne Road/Upper Icknield Way), Bulbourne from its junction with Tring Town Public Footpath No.058 north eastwards for a distance of approximately 130m (“the length of Roads”).

An alternative route will be via B488 (Bulbourne Road/Icknield Way), B4635 Icknield Way, B4009 (Tring Hill/London Road), B489 Lower Icknield Way, Westfield Road and B488 Upper Icknield Way. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 27 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

 (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUDDING LANE, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Pudding Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Hedge Row south westwards for a distance of approximately 40m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Pudding Lane, Galley Hill, Gadebridge Road, Coles Hill and Pudding Lane.

The Order is needed because electrical repair works are proposed to be executed near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 27 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF MISWELL LANE, TRING) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Miswell Lane, Tring from a point 75m north west of its junction with Windmill Way north westwards for a distance of approximately 75m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Miswell Lane, Windmill Way, Christchurch Road, B488 Icknield Way and Miswell Lane.

The Order is needed because gas works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 27 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
