What is happening?

THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF KENSINGTON AND CHELSEA
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES DE VERE GARDENS

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea has made an Order under The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 Schedule 1 - Section 14 (1) (A) and all other enabling powers prohibiting vehicles from proceeding or waiting in roads cited below. Where necessary to maintain access for residents and occupiers one way or two-way traffic working may be imposed on affected roads.

ROAD CLOSED TO VEHICLES FOR CRANE WORKS.

De Vere Gardens, to be closed from outside of number 3 to outside of number 15.

To be closed from 08.00hrs until 18.00hrs on Thursday 23rd January 2025, with backup date of Thursday 30th January 2025.

Diverted through traffic may use De Vere Gardens Kensington Road, Palace Gate, Canning Place, De Vere Gardens, or De Vere gardens, Kensington Road, Victoria Road, St Alban’s Grove, Canning Place, De Vere Gardens, in both Directions, or De Vere Gardens, Canning Place, Victoria Place, Launceston Place, Cornwall Gardens, Gloucester Road, Palace Gate, Kensington Road, De Vere Gardens.

The one-way working on Canning Place is to be suspended for the duration of this closure.

Access will be maintained for residents and occupiers.

Nothing in this Order shall apply to anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform or a traffic warden.

Nothing in this Order shall apply to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, or for the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency.
