What is happening?

Borough Of Rochdale

(Old Road, Littleborough)
(Temporary Introduction Of One-Way Working Order) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to;

(i) Temporarily introduce one-way working along Old Road from a point 27 metres west of its junction with Smithy Bridge Road to its junction with South View Terrace prohibiting vehicles travelling in an easterly direction, in so far as vehicles travelling in a westerly direction will not be affected.

The Order is required to facilitate the installation of a new electrical service connection track within the carriageway.

The Order will be operative on the 6th February 2025 until the 9th February 2025 and 13th February 2025 until the 16th February 2025 between the hours of 08:00 hours until 18:00 hours each day.

The alternative route for vehicles will be via Old Road, Calliards Road, South View Road, Smithy Bridge Road & vice versa.


(Whitegate, Littleborough)
(Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicles And Temporary Prohibition Of Waiting At Any Time Order) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to;

(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Whitegate from its junction with Smithy Bridge Road for a distance of 21 metres in a north easterly direction.

(ii) Temporary prohibit vehicles from waiting at anytime along Whitegate from its junction with Smithy Bridge Road for a distance of 21 metres in a north easterly direction.

The Order is required to facilitate the installation of a new electrical service connection track within the carriageway and footway.

The Order will be operative on the 6th February 2025 until the 9th February 2025 and 13th February 2025 until the 16th February 2025 between the hours of 08:00 hours until 18:00 hours each day.

The alternative route for vehicles will be via Smithy Bridge Road, Lightburn Avenue, Stopford Avenue & vice versa.


(A627m North Bound Slip Road Onto Edinburgh Way, Rochdale) (Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicles) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to;

(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along A627m north bound Slip Road onto Eddinburgh Way.

The Order is required to facilitate ENW electric works within the carriageway.

The Order will be operative from 19:00 hours on the 26th January 2025 until 06:00 on the 27th January 2025.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Edinburgh Way south easterly direction, Queensway, Edinburgh Way in a north westerly direction.


(Arm Road, Littleborough)
(Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicles And Temporary Suspension Of One-Way Working Order) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which is to;

(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Arm Road from its junction with New Road for a distance of 18 metres in a north westerly direction.

(ii) Temporarily suspend The Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council (Arm Road, Dearnley, Littleborough) (One Way Working) Order 2001.

Schedule 1

One Way Working on:-
Arm Road – from its junction with New Road to its junction with James Street, a distance of 18 metres in a north-westerly direction.

The Order is required to facilitate the installation of a new electrical service connection track within the carriageway.

The Order will be operative from 08:00 hours on the 24th January 2025 until 19:00 hours on the 26th January 2025.

The alternative route for vehicles will be via New Road, Finance Street, James Street & vice versa.

Access will be provided when it is safe to do so.


(Hillcrest Road)
(Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicles Order) (Temporary Prohibition Of Waiting At Any Time Order) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which is to;

(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Hillcrest Road from a point 112 metres west of its junction with Kirklee Road for a distance of 10 metres in an easterly direction.

(ii) Temporary prohibit vehicles from waiting at anytime along Hillcrest Road from a point 112 metres west of its junction with Kirklee Road for a distance of 10 metres in an easterly direction.

The Order is required to facilitate a new water supply outside The Bungalow within the Highway.

The Order will be operative from 00:00 on the 20th January 2025 until 23:59 on the 22nd January 2025.

There are no alternative routes for vehicles.


(Paddock Head, Littleborough) (Temporary Prohibition Of Pedestrians) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along Paddock Head, Littleborough, for its entire length.

The Order is required to facilitate the installation of a new electrical service connection track within the footpath and carriageway.

The Order will be operative from 08:00 hours on the 27th January 2025 until 18:00 hours on the 2nd February 2025.

Vehicle access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.

The alternative route for pedestrians is via Whitegate, Smithy Bridge Road and New Road and vice-versa.
