THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991

THE LEICESTER (AYLESTONE DRIVE) (TEMPORARY) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicester City Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be, for the following anticipated period of time to:

Prohibit the movement of all vehicles on Aylestone Drive between its junctions with Seaford Road and with Montrose Road South from 7.00am on Monday 3rd February 2025 until 9.00pm on Friday 14th February 2025.

Diversion route: Wigston Lane, Glenhills Way.

Prohibit parking, waiting and loading on Alvecote Road in its entirety from 7.00am on Monday 3rd February 2025 until 9.00pm on Friday 14th February 2025.

The Order will come into effect on the 2nd February 2025 and will continue in force for up to 18 months, or until the order is no longer deemed necessary, whichever is the earlier.

These restrictions are to facilitate the operation of charity development works taking place on or near the above sections of highway. Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
