Guywood Lane - Temporary Prohibition of Driving For New Gas Connection

(Guywood Lane, Romiley) (Temporary Prohibition Of Driving) Order 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which is to introduce a Temporary Prohibition of Driving at Guywood Lane, Romiley from approx. 20m North of the junction of Stockport Road in a northerly direction for approx. 30m, whilst traffic signs to that effect are in place on or near the said road.
This Order is necessary to allow work for a new gas connection to take place.
It is anticipated that the maximum duration of the work will be three days.
Pedestrian access will be maintained. Alternative routes will be provided via: Stockport Road, Compstall Road, Sandy Lane, Park Road, Guywood Lane and vice versa.
This Order will come into operation on the 17th of February 2025 and will have effect for eighteen months, provided that if all necessary works are completed within a shorter period this Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Ref: MM/6125832.
