What is happening?

BRIGHTON AND HOVE CITY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER – LEICESTER VILLAS; WORCESTER VILLAS & COLEMAN AVENUE, HOVE

  1. NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which when it comes into force will have the following effect:-

In phases, in force as and when signed

(a) The temporary closure of Leicester Villas for its entire length.

(b) The temporary closure of Worcester Villas for its entire length.

(c) The temporary closure of Coleman Avenue for its entire length.

  • The Order is necessary to allow contractors working on behalf of SGN carry out major gas main replacement works.

  • Pedestrian access will be maintained, and a signed diversion route will be in place for vehicular traffic.

  • This Order comes into force on 3 February 2025 for eighteen months or until such sooner time as the works are completed.
