What is happening?

FLINTSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

LLANFYNYDD

The Flintshire County Council hereby intends not sooner than 7 days from the 17 January 2025 to make an Order which will prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in Trimley Hall Farm Junction to B5101 Junction Frith between its junctions with B5101 Llanfynydd and Trimley Hall Farm Pentre Junction, Llanfynydd in the County of Flintshire.

The reason for the closure is to facilitate repairs to a disused railway bridge with associated works for the Department of Transport by Hammond ECS Ltd.

The alternative route for vehicles affected by the closure will be signed accordingly by the use of prescribed signs. Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the period of closure.

It is anticipated that the Order will come into force on 3 February 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter. The road will only be closed for 3 weeks, or until earlier completion of the works, subject to a maximum period of eighteen months.

HOLYWELL

The Flintshire County Council hereby intends not sooner than 7 days from the 17 January 2025 to make an Order which will prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in Old Chester Road, between its junctions with Halkyn Road and Fron Park Road, Holywell in the County of Flintshire.

The reason for the closure is to facilitate sewer works within the carriageway with associated works by J&P Civil Engineering Ltd.

The alternative route for vehicles affected by the closure will be signed accordingly by the use of prescribed signs. Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the period of closure.

It is anticipated that the Order will come into force on 3 February 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter. The road will only be closed for 3 weeks, or until earlier completion of the works, subject to a maximum period of eighteen months.

NOTICE OF EXTENSION OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS ORDER

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

FLINTSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 22 IN THE COMMUNITY OF BUCKLEY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2023

The above Order came into force from the 31 July 2023 for a period of 6 months, until and including 30 January 2024. The order has since been extended with the approval of the Welsh Government until and including 30 July 2025.

Notice is now hereby given that the said Order made by Flintshire County Council on the 25 July 2023 is hereby extended with the approval of the Welsh Government and will continue in force until and including 30 July 2025, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.

The effect of the Order is that no person shall proceed in using that section of Public Footpath No. 22 in the Community of Buckley from a point at NGR 327769 364686 for an approximate distance of 190 metres in a southerly direction to a point at 327726 364519.

The reason for the continued closure is for public protection due to ongoing development and associated works by Medra Cyfyngedig.

An alternative route will be provided from Cheshire Lane, alongside the playing fields and connecting back to Footpath 22 at NGR 327726 364519.
