MAE GWEINIDOGION CYMRU yn bwriadu gwneud Gorchymyn o dan adran 14 o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 ymhen dim llai na 7 niwrnod i ddyddiad yr Hysbysiad hwn. Mae angen y Gorchymyn arfaethedig er mwyn gwneud gwaith ar gefnffordd yr A40, neu gerllaw iddi, yng Nghrucywel, Powys.

Effaith y Gorchymyn arfaethedig fydd gwahardd dros dro yr holl draffig (yr holl draffig modur, yr holl draffig difodur a cherddwyr) a da byw rhag mynd ar y darn o gefnffordd yr A40 sy’n ymestyn o bwynt 275 o fetrau i’r de-ddwyrain o ganolbwynt ei chyffordd â Heol y Castell hyd at ganolbwynt ei chyffordd â Standard Street yng Nghrucywel, Powys.

Y llwybr arall ar gyfer traffig cerbydol sy’n teithio tua’r dwyrain o ben gorllewinol y ffordd sydd ar gau fydd mynd ar hyd yr A40 tua’r gorllewin i Aberhonddu, yr A470 tua’r de i Ferthyr Tudful, yr A465 tua’r dwyrain i’r Fenni a’r A40 tua’r gorllewin i ben dwyreiniol y ffordd sydd ar gau: i’r gwrthwyneb ar gyfer traffig sy’n teithio tua’r gorllewin. Dylai traffig nad yw’n gerbydol aros wrth y mannau cau hyd nes y gellir eu hebrwng/eu cyfeirio’n ddiogel drwy’r darn o’r ffordd sydd ar gau.

Daw’r Gorchymyn i rym ar 10 Chwefror 2025. Disgwylir y bydd y gwaharddiadau dros dro yn weithredol dros nos (19:00 – 07:00 o’r gloch) o 10 – 27 Chwefror 2025 neu hyd nes y caiff yr arwyddion traffig dros dro eu symud ymaith yn barhaol.

Dim ond yn ystod y cyfnod a bennir uchod y disgwylir i’r Gorchymyn fod yn weithredol. Er hynny, bydd yn parhau’n ddilys am gyfnod o 18 mis ar y mwyaf rhag ofn y bydd angen ailamserlennu’r gwaith neu wneud gwaith canlyniadol neu waith arall. Bydd hysbysiad am unrhyw newidiadau i’r amseroedd a’r dyddiadau yn cael ei arddangos cyn gwneud unrhyw waith a ailamserlennir.

The A40 Trunk Road (Crickhowell, Powys)
(Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 202-

THE WELSH MINISTERS propose, in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which is necessary to undertake works on or near the A40 trunk road at Crickhowell, Powys.

The effect of the proposed Order will be to temporarily prohibit all traffic (motorised, non- motorised and pedestrians) and livestock from proceeding on the length of the A40 trunk road that extends from a point 275 metres south-east of the centre point of its junction with Castle Road to the centre-point of its junction with Standard Street at Crickhowell.

The alternative route for eastbound vehicular traffic from the western extent of the closure will be via the westbound A40 to Brecon, southbound A470 to Merthyr Tydfil, eastbound A465 to Abergavenny and westbound A40 to the eastern extent of the closure: vice versa for westbound traffic. Non-vehicular traffic should wait at the closure points until they can be safely escorted/directed through the closed section.

The Order will come into force on 10 February 2025. The temporary prohibitions are expected to operate overnight (19:00 – 07:00 hours) from 10 – 27 February 2025, or until the temporary traffic signs are permanently removed.

Although the Order is only expected to be in force during the period specified above it will remain valid for a maximum period of 18 months, as a contingency, should the work need to be rescheduled or consequential or other work is required. Notice of any changes to times and dates will be displayed before any rescheduled work begins.
