(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF B462 HARTSPRING LANE, BUSHEY) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B462 Hartspring Lane, Bushey from its junction with Berry Grove Lane north eastwards to its junction with Hillfield Lane, a distance of approximately 207m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via B462 Hartspring Lane, A41 Elton Way, Sandy Lane and Hillfield Lane.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 4 February 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access, and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:
The westbound carriageway of A41 North Western Avenue, Watford from its junction with the A41 The Dome roundabout north westwards and south westwards to its junction with the A41 Hempstead Road/A411 Hempstead Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 2587m.
- An alternative route will be via A41 (North Western Avenue/North Western Avenue Colne Way/Otterspool Way), A4008 Stephenson Way and A411 (Beechen Grove/Exchange Road/Beechen Grove/Hempstead Road).
The westbound carriageway of A41 (Otterspool Way/North Western Avenue Colne Way), Watford/A41 North Western Avenue, Woodside from its junction with the A4008 Stephenson Way/the M1 (junction 5) roundabout northwards to its junction with A41 The Dome roundabout, a distance of approximately 1976m.
- An alternative route will be via A4008 Stephenson Way, A411 (Beechen Grove/Exchange Road/Beechen Grove/Hempstead Road) and A41 North Western Avenue.
That length of A41 The Dome roundabout, Watford from its easternmost junction with the westbound carriageway of A41 North Western Avenue clockwise to its westernmost junction with the westbound carriageway of A41 North Western Avenue, a distance of approximately 107m.
- An alternative route will be via A41 (North Western Avenue/North Western Avenue Colne Way/Otterspool Way), A4008 Stephenson Way, A411 (Beechen Grove/Exchange Road/Beechen Grove/Hempstead) and A41 North Western Avenue.
That length of A412 St Albans Road, Watford from its junction with A41 The Dome roundabout south westwards to its junction with Bushey Mill Lane, a distance of approximately 395m.
- An alternative route will be via A41 (North Western Avenue/North Western Avenue Colne Way/Otterspool Way), A4008 Stephenson Way, A411 (Beechen Grove/Exchange Road/Beechen Grove) and A412 St Albans Road or via A412 St Albans Road, A411 Hempstead Road and A41 North Western Avenue.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN SARRATT, BUSHEY AND BOREHAMWOOD)
ORDER 2025**
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access, and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:
That length of Sarratt Road/Dimmocks Lane, Sarratt from the access road leading to ‘Mickleborough Green Cottages’ north westwards, north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with The Green, a distance of approximately 980m.
- An alternative route will be via Sarratt Road, Redhall Lane, Chandlers Lane, Toms Hill, Bucks Hill, The Common, The Street, Dunny Lane, Poles Hill and Sarratt Road.
That length of Deadmans Ash Lane, Sarratt from its junction with Sarratt Road north eastwards to a point in line with the north eastern boundary of ‘Ash Tree Cottage’, a distance of approximately 480m.
An alternative route will be via Dimmocks Lane, The Green, Red Lion Lane, Bottom Lane, and Deadmans Ash Lane.
That length of B462 Hartspring Lane, Bushey from its junction with A41 Elton Way south westwards to its junction with Little Bushey Lane, a distance of approximately 495m.
- An alternative route will be via A41 (Elton Way/Tylers Way), A411 (Elstree Road/Sparrows Herne/High Street/London Road/Chalk Hill) and B462 Aldenham Road.
That length of Clarendon Road, Borehamwood from its junction with B5378 Shenley Road north westwards for its entire length.
- There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However, vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
That length of B5378 Shenley Road, Borehamwood from its junction with Cardinal Avenue south westwards to its junction with Furzehill Road, a distance of approximately 235m.
- An alternative route will be via B5378 Shenley Road, A5135 (Elstree Way/Rowley Lane), A1 Barnet Bypass, A411 Barnet Lane, A5183 (High Street/Elstree Hill North) and B5378 (Allum Lane/Shenley Road).
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 3 February 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VARIOUS ROADS AND PUBLIC FOOTPATHS IN WATFORD, GROVE MILL, LANGLEYBURY, CHANDLERS CROSS, SARRATT AND ABBOTS LANGLEY DURING THE ‘WATFORD HALF MARATHON’)
ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 16(A) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the following lengths of roads and public footpaths will be:
- To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads, except for access:
a) That length of Parkside Drive, Watford from its junction with Cassiobury Drive north westwards to its junction with Langley Way, a distance of approximately 1100m.
b) That length of Cassiobury Drive, Watford from its junction with Parkside Drive north westwards and northwards for its entire length.
c) The Cassiobury Drive/Langley Way roundabout, Watford from its southernmost junction with Cassiobury Drive clockwise for its entire length.
d) That length of Langley Way, Watford from its junction with Parkside Drive north eastwards to its junction with Bellmount Wood Avenue, a distance of approximately 220m.
e) That length of Bellmount Wood Avenue, Watford from its junction with Langley Way north westwards, northwards and north eastwards to its junction with Cassiobury Drive, a distance of approximately 440m.
f) That length of Glen Way, Watford from its junction with Stanbury Avenue southwards for its entire length.
g) That length of Stanbury Avenue, Watford from its junction with Glen Way north westwards to its junction with Beechpark Way, a distance of approximately 250m.
h) That length of Beechpark Way, Watford from its junction with Stanbury Avenue north westwards to its junction with Grove Mill Lane, a distance of approximately 145m.
i) That length of Grove Mill Lane, Watford/Grove Mill from its junction with Beechpark Way south westwards, westwards and northwards to its junction with Fir Tree Hill, a distance of approximately 1900m.
j) That length of Langleybury Lane, Langleybury from its junction with Fir Tree Hill north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with Old House Lane, a distance of approximately 1130m.
k) That length of Fir Tree Hill, Chandlers Cross from its junction with Langleybury Lane south westwards, southwards and south westwards to its junction with Redhall Lane, a distance of approximately 1192m.
l) That length of Redhall Lane, Chandlers Cross from its junction with Fir Tree Hill westwards to its junction with Chandlers Lane, a distance of approximately 55m.
m) That length of Chandlers Lane, Chandlers Cross from its junction with Redhall Lane north westwards to its junction with Toms Hill, a distance of approximately 850m.
n) That length of Toms Hill, Chandlers Cross from its junction with Chandlers Lane north westwards to its junction with Bucks Hill, a distance of approximately 330m.
o) That length of Deadmans Ash Lane, Sarratt from its junction with Bottom Lane south westwards for a distance of approximately 280m.
p) That length of Bottom Lane, Sarratt from its junction with Deadmans Ash Lane north westwards and westwards to its easternmost junction with Commonwood, a distance of approximately 310m.
q) That length of Commonwood, Sarratt from its easternmost junction with Bottom Lane northwards to its junction with Quickmoor Lane, a distance of approximately 720m.
r) That length of Quickmoor Lane, Sarratt from its junction with Commonwood eastwards to its junction with Bucks Hill, a distance of approximately 484m.
s) That length of Bucks Hill, Sarratt from its junction with Quickmoor Lane southwards and south eastwards to its junction with Old House Lane, a distance of approximately 1380m.
t) That length of Old House Lane, Abbots Langley from its junction with Bucks Hill north eastwards and eastwards to its junction with Langleybury Lane, a distance of approximately 1700m.
- To prohibit all pedestrians from using the following lengths of Public Footpath:
a) That length of Watford Borough Public Footpath No.72 from its junction with Cassiobury Drive northwards to its junction with Glen Way, a distance of approximately 166m.
b) That length of Sarratt Public Footpath No.13 from its junction with the eastern access road leading to ‘Newell Farm’ north westwards, westwards and north westwards to its junction with Deadmans Ash Lane, a distance of approximately 1200m.
There are no alternative routes available for vehicles or pedestrians for the duration of the event. However, vehicular and pedestrian access to properties in these roads will be maintained whenever possible.
The lengths of roads and public footpaths will be closed between the hours of 10.00am and 1.00pm on Sunday 2 February 2025, when signs are in place.
The purpose of the Order is to ensure public safety and prevent accidents for the duration of the ‘Watford Half Marathon’.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access, and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:
That length of Baldwins Lane, Croxley Green from its junction with the A412 Watford Road roundabout north westwards, south westwards and north westwards to its junction with Manor Way, a distance of approximately 1300m.
- An alternative route will be via A412 Watford Road, The Green and Baldwins Lane.
That length of Links Way, Croxley Green from its junction with Baldwins Lane northwards and north westwards to its junction with Little Green Lane, a distance of approximately 853m.
- An alternative route will be via Baldwins Lane, Durrants Drive and Little Green Lane.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 1 February 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

The A41 southbound slip road leading onto A41 Otterspool Way, Watford from its junction with the A4008 Stephenson Way/M1 (junction 5) roundabout south eastwards to its junction with A41 Otterspool Way, a distance of approximately 366m.
- An alternative route will be via A41 (North Western Avenue Colne Way/North Western Avenue), the A41 The Dome roundabout, and A41 (North Western Avenue/North Western Avenue Colne Way/Otterspool Way).
The A41 northbound slip road leading onto the A4008 Stephenson Way/M1 (junction 5) roundabout, Watford from its junction with A41 Otterspool Way north eastwards to its junction with the A4008 Stephenson Way/M1 (junction 5) roundabout, a distance of approximately 551m.
- An alternative route will be via A41 (Otterspool Way/North Western Avenue Colne Way/North Western Avenue), the A41 The Dome roundabout, A41 (North Western Avenue/North Western Avenue Colne Way) and the A4008 Stephenson Way/M1 (junction 5) roundabout.
The A41 northbound slip road leading onto A41 North Western Avenue Colne Way, Watford from its junction with the A4008 Stephenson Way/M1 (junction 5) roundabout north westwards to its junction with A41 North Western Avenue Colne Way, a distance of approximately 420m.
- An alternative route will be via A41 Otterspool Way, the B462 Hartspring Lane roundabout and A41 Otterspool Way.
The A41 southbound slip road leading onto the A4008 Stephenson Way/M1 (junction 5) roundabout, Watford from its junction with A41 North Western Avenue Colne Way south eastwards to its junction with the A4008 Stephenson Way/M1 (junction 5) roundabout, a distance of approximately 426m.
- An alternative route will be via A41 Otterspool Way, the B462 Hartspring Lane roundabout, A41 Otterspool Way and the A4008 Stephenson Way/M1 (junction 5) roundabout.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 7 February 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

That length of Whitwell Road, Watford from its junction with The Pelhams north eastwards, north westwards and south eastwards for its entire length.
- An alternative route will be via The Pelhams and Phillipers.
That length of Hawthorn Close, Watford from its junction with Nascot Wood Road south westwards for its entire length.
- There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However, vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
That length of Nascot Road, Watford from its junction with Langley Road north eastwards to its junction with Park Road, a distance of approximately 178m.
- An alternative route will be via Langley Road and Park Road.
That length of Kildonan Close, Watford from its junction with A411 Hempstead Road north eastwards for its entire length.
- There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However, vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 20 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

ORDER 2025**
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all traffic from using the following lengths of road (“the lengths of Road”), except for access, and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Road whilst works are in progress:
The eastbound carriageway of A41 North Western Avenue, Woodside from its junction with the A41 Hempstead Road/M25 roundabout north eastwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 1018m.
- An alternative route will be via the eastbound slip road leading onto the A405 North Orbital Road/High Road roundabout and the eastbound slip road leading onto the eastbound carriageway of A41 North Western Avenue.
The westbound carriageway of A41 North Western Avenue, Woodside from a point 1172m north west of its junction with the A41 The Dome Roundabout north westwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 539m.
- An alternative route will be via the westbound slip road leading onto the A405 North Orbital Road/High Road roundabout and the westbound slip road leading onto the westbound carriageway of A41 North Western Avenue.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the lengths of Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 20 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the lengths of Road.

**(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF A411 ELSTREE ROAD, BUSHEY HEATH)
ORDER 2025**
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A411 Elstree Road, Bushey Heath from its junction with Priory View north eastwards for a distance of approximately 25m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via A411 Elstree Road, A4140 High Road, A409 Heathbourne Road and A411 Elstree Road
or via A411 Elstree Road, A409 Heathbourne Road, A4140 High Road and A411 (High Road/Elstree Road).
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 18 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
