Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council In not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1084, proposes to make the following Orders: -

The Isle of Wight Council (Cycle Track from Newport to Wootton, Wootton, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Cycle Track Closure) Order No 2 2025

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for two weeks, between Monday 27 January 2025, and Friday 07 February 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Cycle Track from Newport to Wootton, Wootton, from its junction with Park Road, and its junction with Station Road. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during structure bridge maintenance works.

The Isle of Wight Council (Emmett Hill, Chale, Isle of Wight)

(Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2025

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift, between Monday 27 January 2025, and Wednesday 29 January 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Emmett Hill, Chale, from its junction with Kingston Road, and its junction with Town Lane. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during Excavate drainage works.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift, between Tuesday 28 January 2025, and Thursday 30 January 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Atherfield Road, Shorwell, from its junction with Southdown, and its junction with Chale Bridleway 26. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during Drainage excavation works, safety during Excavate drainage works.

(Temporary Revocation of 6' 6" Width Restriction) Order No 1 2025

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0001 hours on Friday 24 January 2025 until 2359 hours on Friday 7 March 2025, for approx 2 weeks within this period, or when the works has been completed, the 6' 6' width restriction will be revoked along Whitecross Lane, for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The revocation is required to enable carriageway maintenance, lining, investigation and hedging & quartering works to be undertaken.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 24 January 2025 and Friday 07 March 2025 the following roads will be closed at all times for a period of approximately one to 5 days within this period, or when the works have been completed, to enable carriageway maintenance, lining, investigation and hedging & quartering works to be undertaken. No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads: and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road were indicated by traffic signs. These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, resurfacing works, reflective stud work and lining works. In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and on street advanced warning signs before the scheme commences.
