Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic  Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

TUNBRIDGE WELLS AREA

Bird In Hand Street, Groombridge, TN3 9QE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bird In Hand Street, Groombridge, on or after 11th February 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside 10 and 11. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bird In Hand Street, Groombridge Hill, A264 Ashurst Road, Groombridge Road and vice versa.

 

Dowding Way, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN2 3BW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow blockage clearing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dowding Way, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 13th February 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside North Farm House, between the hours of 19:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Dowding Way, Lamberts Road, Liptraps Lane, Birken Road, Sandhurst Road, Upper Grosvenor Road, North Farm Road and vice versa.

 

Mill Street, Iden Green (TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow pole testing works to be carried out a 40mph speed limit will be imposed, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mill Street, Iden Green, on or after 28th January 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

Mill Street will be restricted to 40mph from Rose Briar to Quinces, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

 

St Marks Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN2 5XJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow new electric connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of St Marks Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 10th February 2025 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Whinlatter, between the hours of 08:00 to 19:00 on Monday-Friday, 08:00 to 17:00 on Saturday and 09:00 on Sunday. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via St Marks Road, A267 Frant Road, Broadwater Down and vice versa.

 

Walkhurst Road, Benenden, TN17 4DS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow new gas connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Walkhurst Road, Benenden, on or after 27th January 2025 for up to 9 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Tamarama and Brick Kiln. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Walkhurst Road, Goddards Green Road, New Pond Road, B2086 The Street and vice versa.

 

Various Roads, Royal Tunbridge Wells (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on Various Roads, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 10th February 2025, until works have been completed.
