Swale, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,  makes or intends to make the following Orders.

SWALE AREA

Bagshill Road, Sheldwich, ME13 0ET (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2025

To allow tree cutting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bagshill Road, Sheldwich, from 10th February 2025, for up to one day, between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions with Parsonage Stocks Road and A251 Ashford Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Throwley Road, Woodhouse Road, Throwley, Leaveland, A251 Ashford Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Bottom Pond Road, Rodmersham, ME9 0AD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2025

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bottom Pond Road, Rodmersham, from 10th February 2025, with estimated completion by 19th February 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions with Cheney Hill and Broadoak Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Broadoak Road, Ruins Barn Road, Cromers Road, Highsted Valley and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Glovers Crescent, Sittingbourne, ME10 4DS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2025

To allow water pipe repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on Glovers Crescent, Sittingbourne, from 10th February 2025, with estimated completion by 14th February 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in its entirety, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bell Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Horn Hill, Milstead. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2025

To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Horn Hill, Milstead, from 12th February 2025, for up to one day, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions with Rawling Street and Bottom Pond Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bottom Pond Road, Gossy Hill Road, The Street, Torry Hill Road, Milstead, Frinstead Road, Rawling Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Monkshill Road, Hernhill. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JANUARY 2025

To allow level crossing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Monkshill Road, Hernhill, from 23:30 hours on 28th January 2025, with estimated completion by 04:30 hours on 29th January 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed 20m either side of the level crossing, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Monkshill Road, Highstreet Road, A299 Thanet Way, Whitstable Road, Headhill Road, Seasalter Road, Monkshill Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Place Lane, Hartlip, ME9 7TG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2025

To allow water pipe repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on Place Lane, Hartlip, from 12th February 2025, with estimated completion by 14th February 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in its entirety, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Street, Mill Lane, A2 London Road, Spade Lane, Meresborough Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Warden Road, Eastchurch, ME12 4EX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2025

To allow new water connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Warden Road, Eastchurch, from 11th February 2025, with estimated completion by 15th February 2025, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Rides House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential and emergency access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

Whiteway Road, Queenborough, ME11 5ER (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JANUARY 2025

To allow remedial works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Whiteway Road, Queenborough, from 27th January 2025 with estimated completion by 28th January 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions with B2007 North Road and A249 Brielle Way, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2007 North Road, Railway Terrace, Main Road, A249, B2007 Whiteway Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
