(Footpath 12, Boxted)

(Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close the following length of Footpath12, Boxted in the City of Colchester, from its junction with footpath 13 north west for approximately 245 metres to its junction with Church Street.

The closures are scheduled to commence on 24 January 2025 to 23 July 2025 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while the footbridge is made safe.

No alternative route available.

The Order will come into effect on 24 January 2025 and may continue in force for 6 months, or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Bromley Road, Ardleigh in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Redmason Road for a distance of approximately 40m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 12th February 2025 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411SA001WFQJ1L3S - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Bromley Road, Parsons Heath Roundabout, Parsons Heath, Fox Street, John De Bois Hill, Colchester Road, Station Road, Frating Road, Ardleigh Road, Colchester Road, Bromley Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 23rd January 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Crabtree Lane, Little Horkesley in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Bures Road for a distance of approximately 20m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th February 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WFTRHR5VPTSB - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole testing works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Bures Road, Main Road, Packards Lane, Little Horkesley Road, Cockrells Road, Holts Road, Crabtree Lane and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 23rd January 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Fossetts Lane, Fordham in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 450m south west then south east of its junction with Rams Farm Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a south easterly then south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th February 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008PLT2325603513012024 -Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole testing works are undertaken by Openreach.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hall Road, Great Bromley in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Colchester Road to its junction with Badley Hall Road a distance of approximately 2055m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th February 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2370696 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

(Iceni Way, Colchester)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Iceni Way, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Paxman Avenue to its junction with Anglia Close a distance of approximately 55m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 15th February 2025 for 9 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5011001380206 - Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.

An alternative route is available via Layer Road, Boadicea Way and vice versa (with access only into Iceni Way, Eldred Avenue).

The Order will come into effect on 23rd January 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Smythes Green, Layer Marney in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Maldon Road for a distance of approximately 275m in a south easterly then south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th February 2025 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WFSD5L6WSB - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Maldon Road, Colchester Road, Maypole Road, Church Road, Chapel Road, Newbridge Road, Clears Road, Smythes Green and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 23rd January 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway)

Order (No.1) 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close those lengths of roads in the City of Colchester as specified in schedule 1 to this Order.

2. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of roads and those in schedule 2 for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.

The Essex County Council (Colchester Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 23rd January 2025, exact dates will be specified on one.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the roads.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Temporary Introduction of a Clearway, Temporary Introduction of 30 MPH Speed Limit & Temporary Suspension of Bus Lane) Order (No.2) 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close those lengths of roads in the City of Colchester as specified in the schedule to this Order.

2. To temporarily introduce a 30mph speed limit in those lengths of roads as specified in the schedule.

3. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of roads for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.

4. To temporarily suspend the bus lane restrictions in Middleborough/North Hill, Colchester as detailed in the 'The Essex County Council (High Street, North Hill and Middleborough, Colchester) (Bus Lane) Order 2014'.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hunters Chase, Ardleigh in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 115m northwest of its junction with Coggeshall Road for a distance of approximately 95m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 29th January 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MT002DS0057135 – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

An alternative route is available via Dedham Road, Ardleigh Road, Long Road West, Coggeshall Road and vice versa (with access only via Hunters Chase).

The Order came into effect on 9th January 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
