The East Sussex (U7759 Lynholm Road/Aberdale
Road, Polegate) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under
Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road; Temporary Road Closure
Lynholm Road/Aberdale Road – from the junction with U7759 Bramley Road to No.1 Lynholm Road. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U7759 Lynholm Road – B2247 Pevensey Road – U7759 Aberdale Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 22 January 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 22 and 23 January 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U7730 Lower Street, East Dean) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
To allow SGN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Lower Street – from the junction with C37 Gilberts Drive to the junction with U7731 Went Way.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U7730 Upper Street – A259 Friston Hill, Eastbourne Road – C37 Gilberts Drive and vice versa.
The Order commences 3 February 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 3 February and 7 March 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (A259 Trinity Trees/Seaside Road,
Eastbourne) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road; Temporary Road Closure
Trinity Trees/Seaside Road – from the junction with U2138 Trinity Place to the junction with U2145 Elms Avenue.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A259 Trinity Trees, South Street, Gildredge Road, Ashford Road, Susans Road.
The Order commences 3 February 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 3 February and 4 April 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

Traffic Regulation Order 2021 Amendment No * 202* Notice is hereby given that East Sussex County Council propose to make the above Order under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers which will introduce new or revise the existing parking, waiting and loading restrictions along the following lengths of road:-
Changes to Prohibition of Waiting At Any Time – Bedfordwell Road, Belmore Road, Birch Close, Blackwater Road, Carlisle Road, Cavendish Avenue, Cavendish Place, East Dean Road, Hazelwood Avenue, King Edwards Parade, Lascelles Terrace, Meads Road, Old Orchard Road, Pevensey Road, Seaside
Changes to No Loading At Any Time – Cavendish Place, King Edwards Parade.
Changes to Permit Holders or Time Limited Mon to Sat 8am-6pm maximum stay 2 hours no return within 1 hour – Cavendish Place, Meads Street, Spencer Road.
Changes to Permit Holders or Time Limited Mon to Sat 8am-6pm maximum stay 4 hours no return within 1 hour – Blackwater Road.
Changes to Permit Holders or Pay and Display Mon to Sat 8am-6pm maximum stay 4 hours no return within 1 hour – Lascelles Terrace.
Changes to Permit Holders or Pay and Display Mon to Sat 8am-6pm maximum stay 2 hours no return within 1 hour – Cornfield Road.
Changes to Permit Holders Only Mon to Sat 8am-6pm – Langney Road.
Changes to Permit Holders or Pay and Display 8am-6pm 1 April to 31 October – King Edwards Parade.
Changes to Taxis Only At Any Time – Old Orchard Road.
Changes to Disabled Persons Parking Places maximum stay 3 hours no return within 2 hours – Hyde Gardens, Junction Road, Lismore Road.
Changes to Disabled Persons Parking Places 8am-11pm maximum stay 30 minutes no return within 1 hour – Wilmington Gardens.
Changes to Bus Lane All Hours Cycles permitted – Gildredge Road.
Changes to Bus Stop Clearway No Stopping except Local Buses – Meads Street.
Introduction of Prohibition of Waiting at Any Time – Birch Road, Blackwater Road, Chatham Green, Cobbold Avenue, Dutchells Way, Harbour Quay, Hazelwood Avenue, Malvern Close, Slindon Crescent, Spencer Road, St Lawrence Way, Staveley Road, Summerdown Road, Tanbridge Road, Telscombe Road, Tideswell Road, Willingdon Road, Woburn Way.
Introduction of Permit Holders or Time Limited Mon to Sat 8am-6pm maximum stay 4 hours no return within 1 hour – Blackwater Road.
Introduction of Disabled Persons Parking Places – Carew Road, Carlisle Road, Langney Road, Longstone Road, Seaside.
Introduction of Disabled Persons Parking Places 8am-8pm maximum stay 1 hour no return within 1 hour – Arlington Road.
Introduction of Taxis Only at Any Time – Wilmington Gardens. Introduction of Car Club Only at Any Time – Langney Road.
Introduction of School Keep Clear Mon to Fri 8am-9.30am and 2.30pm-4pm – Cobbold Avenue.
Introduction of Loading/Unloading Goods Vehicles Only 7am-7pm and Taxi Only 7pm-7am – Cornfield Road.
Introduction of Motorcycles Only at Any Time – Station Street.
Introduction of Motorcycles Only Parking Place at Any Time – Hyde Gardens.
Removal of Ambulances Only at Any Time – Belmore Road. Removal of Doctors Only at Any Time – Lismore Road.
Removal of Loading/ Unloading Goods Vehicles Only 7am-7pm – Station Street.
