Kensington Road - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?

Portsmouth City Council (Kensington Road) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.16) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 20th January 2025 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
KENSINGTON ROAD
From side of No.182 Stubbington Avenue to its junction with Stubbington Avenue.
From side of No.197 Stubbington Avenue to its junction with Stubbington Avenue.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate electrical works to link box.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 20th January 2025 to 31st January 2025 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Stubbington Avenue, Lyndhurst Road, Copythorn Road, Kensington Road and Stubbington Avenue, Copnor Road, Heathcote Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
