(TEMPORARY PUBLIC FOOTPATH CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council has made an Order to prohibit the use of Wansbeck District Public Footpath No 47, in the County of Northumberland.
The route is described as follows:
From a point on the U6539 road 20 metres west of number 16 Rosedale in a general easterly and south-easterly direction for a distance of 515 metres to a point on Glebe Road east on number 46 Glebe Road.
There is an alternative route available using existing public highways to the north of Cloverdale and from a point on the U6539 road 20 metres west of number 16 Rosedale in a southerly direction to the rear of Rosedale, in a general easterly and southerly direction over Forster Avenue and Northumberland Avenue and then in an easterly direction along Ridge Terrace to join Glebe Road then continuing in a northerly direction to a point on Glebe Road east on number 46 Glebe Road.
The Order is to be effective from the 20th January 2025 until the 20th July 2025.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council in the interests of public safety to facilitate the installation of a Cycle Way.
