What is happening?

THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(ASHLAND STREET & BRISTOL STREET)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as
substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on the following stretches of road:
· Ashland Street closed in both directions at its junction with Lime Street. Vehicular Diversion Route: Lime Street, Owen Road, Merridale Street
West & vice versa. · Bristol Street closed in both directions at its
junction with Lime Street. Vehicular Diversion Route: Lime Street, Fisher Street, Lea Road and vice versa.

The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken from 27 January 2025 until
3 February 2025.
The Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works by Cadent Gas.
