What is happening?

Warwickshire County Council

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Warwickshire County Council has made the following Temporary Traffic Orders:

D356 Glenville Avenue, Wood End, Kingsbury

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic in its entirety from its junction with Wood Street.

Reason for Order: Carriageway patching and associated works, 08.00hrs-16.00hrs.

Order Commences: 20 January 2025 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 22 January 2025.

Access & Diversion: No suitable diversion. Vehicular access & egress will be maintained where possible and safe to do so.

Hoggrills End Lane, Nether Whitacre

Order Effect: Road Closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: To enable groundwork around boxes.

Order Commences: 21 January 2025 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 21 January 2025.

Access & Diversion: Hoggrills End Lane, Old House Farm Lane, Old Farm Lane, Butchers Lane, Bakehouse Lane and vice versa.

Halloughton Lane, Nether Whitacre

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: To safely enable installation of joint box.

Order Commences: 20 January 2025 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 31 January 2025.

Access & Diversion: No suitable diversion.

Contractor: KN Circet, Tel: 08000 859 194.


Orton Road, Polesworth

Order Effect: Road Closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: To enable renewal of pipe work.

Order Commences: 22 January 2025 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 24 January 2025.

Access & Diversion: Orton Road, Warton Lane, The Green, Norton Lane, Austrey Lane, Orton Lane, Main Road, Bishops Cleeve, Austrey Road, Maypole Road, Little Warton Road and vice versa.

Warwickshire County Council proposes to make the following Temporary Traffic Orders:

Austrey Lane, No Mans Heath

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: Works to excavate and lay electrical mains to supply housing development.

Order Commences: 3 February 2025 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 21 February 2025.

Access & Diversion: Austrey Lane, No Mans Heath Lane, Warton Lane, Newton Lane, Main Road, Shuttington Lane, Hangmans Lane, Ashby Road and vice versa.

Contractor: S&R Construction Ltd, Tel: 07808 857 880.


C187 Foul End Lane, Kingsbury

Order Effect: Road closed between Knowle Hill and Dexter Lane.

Reason for Order: Carriageway patching works, closed 08.00hrs-16.00hrs.

Order Commences: 6 February 2025 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 7 February 2025.

Access & Diversion: Knowle Hill, Dexter Lane and vice versa.

Vehicular access & egress will be maintained where possible and safe to do so.

Nightingale Close, Atherstone

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: Works for boundary box installation.

Order Commences: 3 February 2025 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 4 February 2025.

Access & Diversion: Nightingale Close, Lister Road, St Georges Road, York Avenue and vice versa.

Contractor: Chevron Traffic Management Ltd, Tel: 03300 080 820.


Station Road, Arley

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: Works for meter renewal.

Order Commences: 3 February 2025 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 5 February 2025.

Access & Diversion: Station Road, Station Hill, Tamworth Road, Nuneaton Road, Birmingham Road, Ansley Lane, Rectory Road and vice versa.

Contractor: Chevron Traffic Management Ltd, Tel: 03300 080 820.


Shuttington Road, Shuttington

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: To enable maintenance works on sewer level monitor, 20.00hrs-23.59hrs.

Order Commences: 3 February 2025 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 3 February 2025.

Access & Diversion: Shuttington Road, Shuttington Lane, Polesworth Road, Station Road, Bridge Street, Tamworth Road, Glascote Road, Robeys Lane, Alvecote Lane, Main Road and vice versa.

Contractor: For STW, Chevron TM Ltd, Tel: 08007 834 444.

For all of the above temporary orders, pedestrian access to and egress from properties and land situated adjacent to the length of road to be closed will be maintained at all times. 

Vehicular access will be maintained where possible.
